You can source many online calculators to gain an idea of how many toilets you may need for an event. We would suggest roughly one toilet per 40 people over 5 hours.
The main factors of which you need to consider
• How many people will attend the event
• Will there be food consumed
• Will there be drink consumed
• Will the guests be camping
• Will you need a service
When you consider the above points to may have to adjust the amount that may have been suggested as the toilet calculator is just a standardised guideline.
For example, if the drink that is being consumed at the event is alcohol, the level of toilet trips will increase….
“Alcohol is a diuretic,” says Professor Oliver James, Head of Clinical Medical Sciences at Newcastle University. “It acts on the kidneys to make you pee out much more than you take in – which is why you need to go to the toilet so often when you drink.” In fact for every 1g of alcohol drunk, urine excretion increases by 10ml1. (James, 2016)
Hence, your hire needs will increase too!
